Dom Harrison

We are all very happy to introduce Dom into our Team at Financial Independence. He comes with a vast amount of experience in the insurance industry that spreads across varied areas and geographic locations. 

He tells us he is from Colchester, Essex, originally and that seems to be where the adventure begins. He is a guitarist and explains that over the years he enjoyed moderate success trying to ‘make it’ as part of an indie-rock band on the London scene in the mid 2000’s. Dom then met his wife in Seattle while working at the legendary radio station KEXP. They now have a brand new baby born in NZ on Waitangi Day, we figure this makes him very much part of our community, along with his 8 years here.

His insurance career began underwriting landlord’s insurance portfolios for a nationwide UK agency.  Since being in NZ he has worked in corporate and large commercial insurance with clients in the Marine, Transport and Logistics, Wholesale Import/Export, Property and Vehicular industries. He has worked on some of the most complex insurance arrangements in the country for a number of NZX listed companies.
